I was born in Wisconsin Rapids.  I went to Lincoln High school, then college.  My first permanent job was with the Air Force.  I was a cryptographic equipment repairman.

After leaving the Air Force I worked for a succession of aerospace companies in different locations and increasingly responsible positions on NASA contracts (mostly).  In my last position at the Boeing Company in Houston, I was an engineer on the International Space Station Robotics team.

I retired in 2009 and spend my time doing all the things I never had time to do when I was working (like photography, woodworking, reading good fiction, inventing, and fixing things.

My Mustang is a 1966 convertible.  I bought it in 1996.  It was originally a 6 cylinder 3 speed manual car but someone converted it to a V-8 with 4 speed manual before I bought it.  I had a 351W with iron GT-40 heads, Edelbrock Performer intake, 600 CFM Edelbrock and JBA shorty headers but currently has a 250 I-6 from a 73 Maverick..  The transmission is a T5Z 5-speed  It replaces the toploader 4-speed I rebuilt with tons of help from Mark at Toploader Heaven.

The story so far...
